They are characterized by singing, dancing, and dialogues. The Jazz Singer starring by Al Jolson in 1927 was recognized as the first musical movie in the US. It introduced the sound era of motion pictures with the advent of sound in the early 20 th century. Afterwards, a series of musical movies were produced on the novelty of sound. In 1939, The Wizard of Oz became a landmark for musical movie because of adoption of new technology such as color motion picture process and better sound recording. Color had not become a popular feature until late 1950’s. Musical movies got developed toward better synthesis of plot and music. Is He Worthy?  Andrew Peterson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIahc83Kvp4 Over one year ago, my family went to a Christian conference at Cannon Beach in Oregon. During the Family Talent Show, a father and his three teenage daughters presented the song “ Is He Worthy? ”, which touched my heart so deeply and the tune stayed and echoed on my mind. This song was originally composed and performed by artist Andrew Peterson in his album Resurrection Letters, Volume 1 in 2018. Its genre is contemporary Christian music, and it was nominated by GMA Dove Award for inspirational recorded song of the year.
